Week 30

Day 204 (23.07.13) - Someone asked for two shrink plastic pendants and this is them.



Day 205 (24.07.13) - William doing a paint. This is also the evening I found out about changing the ISO rather than having it on auto so the shutter speed was quicker and I didn't get a blurry photo in bad light. I don't understand it but it worked. Yay for learning!



Day 206 (25.07.13) - Hot hot feet.



Day 207 (26.07.13) - Crochet injury. I didn't injure it with crochet but crochet kept ripping it open again.



Day 208 (27.07.13) - Getting my business head on, candy cane pens and decorations.



Day 209 (28.07.13) - Making more candy cane decorations.



Day 210 (29.07.13) - In the studio on one of my inspiration washing lines.

Things this week:
This shop is so precious.
This Guardian article about sweatshops is pretty interesting.
I really like these diary pages on firstladypatate's photostream.
My first birthday card arrived this morning, I'm pretty excited. I get too excited about my birthday. ( 5 sleeps to go ^_^ )

Week 29

Day 197 (16.07.13) - Will's worried by the news that only one setting on the fan still works. When it finally gives up, we will both melt away to nothing in our sleep. (Please ignore the curtains that I don't like, even though I just brought them to your attention.)



Day 198 (17.07.13) - Blah.



Day 199 (18.07.13) - This is keeping us alive in the night.



Day 200 (19.07.13) - We spent all of Friday sorting out the little back room which was just a big horrible pile. Now it's nice tidy piles.



Day 201 (20.07.13) - Boater.



Day 202 (21.07.13) - Painting my Granddad's birthday card.



Day 203 (22.07.13) - Working on some shrink plastic pendants someone asked me to make. (That is a "gone slightly wrong, yay I get a blue tit brooch of my own" piece.

Things this week:
Shrink plastic is hard to figure out. No matter how much maths you do it will just turn out whatever size it wants.
I read The Fountain. It's a beautiful book but I don't think I would have been able to follow it if I hadn't already seen the film.
I also read Fistful of Blood the story didn't go anywhere but I always love Simon Bisley's artwork, no matter how ridiculous it is.
The main thing this week is I'm hot and therefore brain dead.

Today my Granddad turns 88! I can't get my head around being around for that long, imagine all the things that have happened in that lifetime. Crazy.

Week 28

Day 190 - Will's paintings in our living room.



Day 191 - I made meringue with an egg white I had leftover from making cookies.



Day 192 - Fabric on my studio floor waiting to become linings for pouches.



Day 193 - I took a shine to this start of tape piece.



Day 194 - Accidental flower growing in our back garden.



Day 195 - This guy had attached himself to the underneath of our bathroom door. He had one hell of a grip but wasn't moving much. We put him outside.

Cemetery Mushrooms

Found these mushrooms on the edge of the cemetery. Don't what they are (maybe this) but they're pretty cool.

Week 27

Day 183 - Fabric bits drying.



Day 184 - My first lined crochet pouch, it ended up with a zip on it but my zip attaching needs practise.



Day 185 - A rubbish photo but the only one I took that day.



Day 186 - My little red sewing machine.



Day 187 - Buttons in the sun. They're slowly, slowly getting sorted.



Day 188 - BBQ is the best way to cook sausages.

Things this week:
These envelopes are such a cute idea.
These handmade clothes are so pretty.
I'm half way through reading Persepolis. It's really interesting.
We went to see Despicable Me 2 and laughed. A lot.

BBQ Latte Times

Seeing as the weather has been like it's actually summer the past few days we thought we'd have a little BBQ and Will made peanut butter iced lattes. Oh my god, yum!



There was a lot of pigeon drama going on in our garden but these two mostly kept out of it, being pretty in the sunset instead (then they weren't so pretty but I shan't talk about such things).



Our old friend Pretty Cat turned up too.
