nobody has a love like ours

we went to see away we go today. we were the only people in the screen and our cinema doesn't have it anymore next week. it hasn't been popular here. i think this is sad because i enjoyed it. it made me laugh and made me cry a little bit even though it isn't a sad story. i thought i might find john krasinski's character a little annoying and will thought he was going to either really like it or really not but it turned out that right from the beginning i liked it and burt wasn't a little annoying he was funny. and maya rudolph was really pretty in it.
wow, i just found out they were both voices in shrek the third. weird.
anyway. good film. you should go see it. it's not funny all the way through but it's not meant to be.

i want her coat.
it looks kinda like it's made from a rug.

LDN

will and i went to london yesterday.
it was really good to get away from hatfield. and i haven't been to london in ages.
it was a shame that we were in london but couldn't go to the la guns/spit like this gig because we were sensible and thought a gig didn't warrant going into overdrafts. we even walked past cyndi rott in camden but i'm pretending the gig wasn't real so i don't get sad. (keep an eye out, my shop is very close to having stuff on it and you should buy things from it when it does exist so i can go to gigs/afford rent and food)
anyway, we sat in trafalgar square with a coffee and did some drawing and photo taking then had a wander round the portrait gallery till i started lagging with need for water and had lunch from pret. we went to tottenham court to be sad that the astoria is gone. it was really odd it not being there. we went to camden but the shops were already shutting and the cheap food is no longer cheap at the end of the night so we headed home with sore walking feet and will made some really good dinner that didn't have to cost us anything.
all in all it was an awesome day.
(and even though it's not with la guns we're probably gonna go see spit like this with tigertailz, bit cheaper and we'll have been paid by then. we shall see.)

some pictures

love the clouds in this photo

i love pigeons.

i took this picture beause the person in the background has really good socks with music notes on and i want them.

we took a detour on the way round to the portrait gallery because i liked the look of this building. turned out it was charing cross train station. it's pretty.

this shop is the prettiest bordered up shop ever.

the astoria is no more. see the gap after the building on the left. should be filled with astoria.

i just had to spend £6.49 on a pen that costs £1.99. ryman have crappy postage rates. as if it costs £4.50 to post a damn pen.
angry at ryman.

title

i did a picture.
first time in ages i've actually done something outside of my sketchbook (other than the silk screen stuff)
i like it.
and i liked doing it.

'painted' with coffee and a bit of photo collaging for the bear.
he's lonely.

waiting for will to finish doing 'a few last bits' to a poster he's doing for mike's band (sweet arlita) so he'll make me dinner.

we went to see gamer this morning. i really liked it. i didn't like the dirty fat man that was controlling gerard butler's wife though.
michael c. hall is brilliant.
i want the next series of dexter to come to my telly.

literally? no not literally, that's disgusting

loved it.
i'm pretty sure a film hasn't made me laugh so much in absolutely ages.
turns out summer's not really that great a person. but i didn't particularly dislike her. and she did kind of sort tom out coz it made him go after being an architect again.
the bit where he sees his reflection as hans solo is actually genius. pretty much the most genius thing ever.
i'm really glad i get free cinema because even though i was expecting it to be good i don't think i'd have taken the risk of paying for it and if that had happened, i'd have missed out.
i want a wall that is a blackboard.
i liked that when he said all the bits he liked about her he said her knees.
i liked that when he said all the bits he didn't like about her he said her nobbly knees.
why is pickles what cat people call their cats?

i can't wait for it to come out on dvd so it can join the group of films that i put on when i'm by myself and don't want to actually have to watch something coz it's easy and i know it well.

who, and what, is a private butz?

my 2 new food loves. spicy rice crackers with seaweed and candy corn. mum took me to milton keynes at the weekend and there is a shop there that sells imported american food at ridiculous prices. the candy corn wasn't too bad so i assume it must be dirt cheap in america. there was some cereal for over £7 and hersheys (which tastes like sick as far as i'm concerned and which is quite readily available over here now anyway) and there was marshmallow fluff! now, i had no idea this stuff even existed and i was amazed by it. it must be so bad for you. spreadable marshmallow for toast and such. really wanna try it though. but i settled for candy corn because i've seen it in films and have been curious about what it's like for ages and now i love it. it's like honey in sweet form. and i thought they were gonna be hard but they're not so it doesn't hurt my teeth, yay! (although all the sugar probably sees to that anyway)

also in milton keynes mum brought me this ring. i love it, i don't have many accessories that i actually wear but i really love this.

on the way back from milton keynes we went through woburn and they were having their annual oyster festival (? it's not anywhere that oysters come from so i don't know why they warrant a festival, probably just an excuse to get drunk on a sunny saturday) and there was this batman bouncy slide. with batman and the joker painted at the top and the sides were the shape of the bat bike. i loved it.

these are some drawings i've done. the turkey was drawn from a photo, the train platform and bits of floor were done waiting for the train home from welwyn yesterday and the girl was doodled out of my head while i watched juno and ate noodles.
i have a new strange love for seeing patterns in stuff i.e. the brickwork floor.

the 'benefits investigator' came round today. we were worrying about it because he didn't say what it was for but it turns out it was routine and only lasted 5 minutes and he basically just told us to tell them if anything changed.
worry for nothing.

for the dead travel fast

will and i went to the cinema for an afternoon. both were really good and both brought a tear to my eye.
i'm seriously getting soft.

Christopher Johnson's Son: How many moons does our planet have?
Christopher Johnson: Seven.
Christopher Johnson's Son: This planet only has one. I can't wait to see our planet again... it's bigger than this one, isn't it?
Christopher Johnson: [turns off holographic atlas of what seems to be the Alien home planet] Enough.
Christopher Johnson's Son: We go home now?
Christopher Johnson: Not home, no. This is where we must go. [shows his son an MNU brochure outlining "Sanctuary Park Alien Relocation Camp" aka District 10]
Christopher Johnson: See that tent there? That might be ours.
Christopher Johnson's Son: I want to go home!
Christopher Johnson: We can't go home. Not anymore.

i love christopher johnson

but i think i'm allowed to get teary for hurt locker just because it's one of those films that's so painful to watch. at the end you know it was a really good film but you're not sure if you could make yourself watch it again. i love it when you think a character is a complete ass but it turns out he isn't and you end up really feeling for him even if he is completely insane.

why does too fast for love have the fun house theme in it? or, probably, why does the fun house theme have some of too fast for love in it? gets me everytime i hear it.
