Christmas day in instax photos.
Christmas and film go together so well.
Note in the last photo I may have lost my cracker hat but I have a gift bow stuck to me and a hair clip from a cracker in my hair, oh so festive.

Christmas 2013

A few bits of Christmas so far (we go in for a vaguely medieval Christmas of lasting 12 days, being fed up with Christmas by Boxing Day just isn't our style).
If you've never played Dizzy Dizzy Dinosaur you need to find it and have a go, it's amazing. He's wind up and he spins round and zooms across the board knocking pieces over and therefore sending you back to the start. It's actually quite tense. And brilliant.
There has also been a fair bit of Scrabble, Guess Who, Die Hard and lots of cheese and leftovers.

Illustration ~ Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! I hope you're having a good one.

(Apparently flickr have decided to not let me just embed the image and it now has to be a scrolly thing of my entire photostream. Just ignore it.)

Sketchbook ~ Birds, Bums and Balls

Sketchbook Sketchbook Sketchbook Sketchbook Sketchbook Sketchbook Sketchbook Sketchbook Sketchbook

I hadn't realised how long it had been since I'd had a proper look through and share of my sketchbooks.
They have taken an occasional turn for the creepy. I like it. But I don't like it.
I need to paint in them more.

Clutter City ~ Photos, Sketchbook and Christmas Post Info

Clutter City Yuletide Weekend Clutter City Yuletide Weekend

(This looks kind of weird because the stall next to us hadn't arrived yet)

Candy cane pens.

Clutter City Yuletide Weekend Clutter City Yuletide Weekend Clutter City Yuletide Weekend

Yesterday was our day at Clutter City. We got there super early because of our limited bus choices and were one of the first to be set up. This early morning led to me not really looking at the other stalls for want of sitting down but from what I saw it all looked really cool. Will bought some zines which is always a good thing.
It was a lot quieter than I thought it would be but still worth doing. I think it's the first time they've done a Sunday so maybe word hadn't spread very far, I heard the Saturday was busier. We didn't do both days because Will had to work Saturday. In retrospect I should have done both days anyway, I'll have to make some sort of one person carrying plan for any future days Will can't come.
I was pleased with how our table looked and thanks to everyone that did buy something or even just stopped for a good look. It being quiet meant that if you were in my line of sight and staying still I drew you. Or if you were a little girl in a unicorn onesie, because I was jealous.
Now to get all my personal Christmas making done and get as much work done as possible before having a nice big break over Christmas.

If you're in the UK and would like something from my Etsy or Folksy then the Royal Mail deadline for Christmas delivery is Friday 20th. If you order by Friday morning I will post it by Friday and if you order something that fits in a post box I'll post it same day.
If you're not in the UK and/or you don't want it for Christmas then buy whenever you like, I'll still post it as soon as I can even after the deadline because that's how I roll.
If you can see something in these photos that you'd like but can't see in my shops then you can leave me a comment here or email me (mail@beckygarratt.com) and if it's available I can send a paypal invoice.

Random Norwich

Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled

A few snaps from my wanderings round Norwich that have been hanging around in my blog folder for a while.
Those cows are curious babies. They're pretty big now so they don't look small when they aren't next to the mums for comparison but they are and they're so cute and they watch you all the time. Especially the black one at the front, he was giving me evil eye I'm sure of it.

Old Man Wilson Part Two

Untitled Untitled

That deer makes me laugh every time.

Untitled Untitled

For Will's birthday we had planned to go to the castle 'pop in for a pound' at the end of the day but we missed it so we went back the day after instead and spent an hour drawing in the natural history section.
An hour goes very much quicker than you might think.

Recents Makes ~ Dino, Octo, Spooko and Humbugo

Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled

'Recent' makes is a bit of a lie, I made the spooky bunting before Halloween and I started making the humbug brooches a fair while ago too. Maybe the definition of recent can apply to that. Who knows.
The dinosaur is Will's birthday present, he's been named Stuart and watches TV with us.
Pink octopus was a custom order for someone on folksy. The octopus' are something I already make, the colour was the custom part.
Don't ask why I have so many pairs of scissors. Nobody knows.
The spooky bunting I made just for us as a bit of Halloween decoration, for the letters I used the moogly alphabet pattern.
Some humbug brooches for that Scrooge you know. These will be at Clutter City with me on Sunday 15th Dec, they aren't listed online at the moment but if you'd like one just let me know.

Old Man Wilson

Untitled

This is Will's birthday face last week.

One of many awesome presents was an anatomical crocodile model that has gaps in it's outside sections so you can see its innards. Pretty cool.

Untitled Untitled Untitled

(I realise this isn't the prettiest photo of Norwich ever but it's a fact and topical so it gets included)
We went on an adventure and found lots of graffiti.

There's a car park that has all of it's walls covered. It's so bright. I have no idea whether the people that own the car park want it there or not but it makes for a much better looking car park as far as I'm concerned.

Untitled Untitled Untitled

After all the walking we stopped for a coffee and a shared brownie which I documented with much skill.
Will loves it when I take photos of him.
