Muspole Street

Untitled

Seeing as the days are getting longer I had the thought, that on days I have a little extra time and energy, I'm going to wander down a road/path I've never been down before. The other day I ended up on Muspole Steet.

I'm hoping this little project will get me to find things in the city I wouldn't otherwise know about but also get me taking more photos out and about so I get less bothered about doing it. I was quite proud of taking a photo of this signage even though I could see people by the window underneath it.

I came to the end of Muspole Street and went back down Duke Street where these last two photos were taken.

I'm sure I'll go down loads of boring roads but this was a pretty good first go.

My Patterns Made By Other People #4

Had another rummage for photos of people making my patterns. These are all so great. I have nothing to say except to continually repeat how awesome I think it is that people are making things from patterns I wrote. Please carry on ^_^
(If you make something with one of my patterns please show me, it'd make my day)

Days 45 - 52 // 365 2015

45/365 // 2015

Day 45 - I've been badly clone tooling a speck out of all my pale photos for a while now so I finally plucked up the courage to clean my sensor and took this photo to check/celebrate that the speck was gone (and that I hadn't fucked up my dslr).

46/365 // 2015

Day 46 - Look at that mouth/nose!! (there's more Bernard here)

47/365 // 2015

Day 47 - Not a lovely photo but Will was kind enough to help me sort my studio out and I had to record the fact that the floor can now be seen. It actually feels like a place to work again.

48/365 // 2015

Day 48 - I'm looking forward to more light in the evenings.

49/365 // 2015

Day 49 - More boring (I assume) flats going up.

50/365 // 2015

Day 50 - Windswept and rained on. I foresee lots of self portraits in this mirror.

51/365 // 2015

Day 51 - Will's noodle pot organisers.

52/365 // 2015

Day 52 - Having a play with my macro filters after gluing some hot dogs.

Gratuitous Bernard

It's getting just about warm enough (or rather not too cold) to sit in the garden with Bernard and even though he's mostly a blurry mess I can't help but take photos of him so here are a few because fluff.

These feets is made for digging and that's just what they do. One of these days these feets is gonna tramp mud all over you.

After declaring the magazine his he proceeded to try and eat it. But with a face like that you just let him get on with it. He loses interest before any real damage can happen anyway.

Day 38 - 44 // 365 2015

38/365 // 2015

Day 38 - Mum and dad drove up to give us their old sofa so I made an apple cake. I used this recipe but used all flour for the 200g of dry ingredients and plain old sugar, I don't even think it was caster let alone golden. It was tasty.

39/365 // 2015

Day 39 - When they gave us a sofa they also gave us a massive mirror so here I am being a bit scruffy in front of it.

40/365 // 2015

Day 40 - Making hang tags under the watchful eyes of sausage dogs.

41/365 // 2015

Day 41 - "Past Me was dumb to go on that diet. Past Me didn't remember how tasty sammiches are!" Catching up on my Adventure Time comics.

42/365 // 2015

Day 42 - Waiting for Will to appear with chips.

43/365 // 2015

Day 43 - Hanging out in the dark.

44/365 // 2015

Day 44 - A fancy new dress waiting to be worn.

Days 30 - 37 // 365 2015

30/365 // 2015
Day 30 ~ I love that manic face.

31/365 // 2015
Day 31 ~ A late Christmas present. A late awesome Christmas present.

32/365 // 2015
Day 32 ~ A newly finished llamacorn.

33/365 // 2015
Day 33 ~ Tree by the river. I love how the shiny lines look like someone drew on the bark with a gold paint marker.
 34/365 // 2015
Day 34 ~ What I'm currently reading. I already highly recommend it.

35/365 // 2015
Day 35 ~ Mum and Dad gave me this Nikki McWilliams cushion for Christmas. It hasn't found a permanent home yet but it's so perfect it almost doesn't matter. It's just brightening up where ever it happens to be sitting.

36/365 // 2015
Day 36 ~ Studio wall decorations.

37/365 // 2015
Day 37 ~ We don't have a sofa at the minute and although it's totally impractical I kinda love it. There's so much space. This corner normally has a single seater in it but that's moved to where the sofa usually is for now plus a floor full of pillows and blankets. If I wasn't such an old lady at sitting on the floor (and it being a little anti social) I'd suggest we keep it like this.

Sketchbook ~ Cheesy Pigs

Untitled

I've come to the end of another sketchbook.  We ordered new sketchbooks from Cass but they made some sort of packing mistake and we got two books we hadn't ordered instead of the two books we did order and because they're awesome they're sending out our books and also letting us keep the mistake books. Yay, free sketchbooks! Even though it's not the book I wanted it's still lovely and I've got new sketchbook anxiety pretty bad. I'm just sitting there looking at it thinking about how good it could be and then realising that I'm never happy with how my sketchbooks turn out. Sketchbooks are so lovely I want to do them justice! I need to just get on with it, I don't think I'll ever stop worrying about ruining sketchbooks. Blank paper is scary.

Apparently cheesy pigs are what some people call woodlice?! I'd never heard of it before and am amazed.

Bunnies // We don't have a cat but when it's cold she tries

For some reason my phone camera keeps setting itself back to the lowest resolution which is confusing and annoying.
