Autumn Walk

Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled

Earlier this week I started going a bit crazy with all the work I need to get done and feeling like I was getting none of it done despite working really hard etc so I turned a quick trip out to get stuffing (I've been asked to crochet a very hungry caterpillar, how exciting!) into a relaxing stroll with my camera, picking up stuffing on the way and I think it helped. For a little while anyway. Then I went crazed again. But then I managed to finish a snood/cowl (I never know what to call them, joiny up scarf thing) and a hat so I'm a bit calmer now. We'll see how long it lasts this time...

I'm off for another walk, it appears the clouds have cleared a little today after being completely overcast for what feels like forever so I'm going to head for the city to get some bits done while there's patches of sun about.

This past week I...

....have been mostly trying to produce items for a craft market I've got myself a stall for in November.

I'm really excited. I've not had much luck so far with my limited market experience (ha, I've only done 2!) but there's just something about the idea of having a stall at a craft market that I really love. I must try and get involved in them more often. I'm on the lookout for handy display type bits (got myself a nice glass bowl yesterday from a charity shop) and am working on some new items as well as tried and tested ones and I'm at the stage where I've got lots of ideas and keep starting new things before finishing anything and my studio is a bit of a mess so I think I'm going to have to sit down and make some sort of plan soon to organise myself.

I do love having to do lists.

Here's the facebook page for The Makers Emporium if you're interested. Spread the word please :)

The Lanes

Untitled 41.52 Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled

After the gardens (see here) we wandered back into the city to find coffee and hot chocolate and (thanks to dad's choice of route) I was made to realise that I had stopped exploring Norwich and there were beautiful shops I didn't know about just up the road from where I am regularly that I knew nothing about.
I'll definitely be taking a day soon to go wander about like I did when we first moved here. What makes it even sillier is that it's a road I've heard of and thought I knew vaguely where it was. Obviously not!

The photo of me is week 41 of my 52 weeks project, I say it all the time but I'm so surprised I'm still managing it! I'm also surprised we're in week 42 of the year already!!

The Plantation Gardens

Mum and dad came to visit and we ventured out to find the "notoriously hard to find" plantation gardens in Norwich. I was a bit worried that it'd be a bit of a let down but it was actually pretty cool. It'll be good to go back during the year to see all the different plants through the seasons.

31 Years

Untitled

Today my parents have been married for 31 years. How awesome is that? Very awesome. It pleases me greatly. I did a painting of them to celebrate.
