You Don't Know Me ~ Drawing

A new drawing for you ヾ(＾-＾)ノ
I had a hankering to draw a snake so doodled about in my sketchbook and then kept going and now this friend with a lot of feelings exists and is in my redbubble. I'll make badges with them at some point too. I also made a pattern from it to fit better on some of the products.

Please buy the mini skirt or the leggings and send me photos because I think they'd look pretty cool ^_^

Some New Things

I really don't have any spare money this month but I couldn't say no to this cute badge for only 30p. I think it's from a publisher of children's bible stories but I don't really care about that, I just like how cute the reading fish is and the colours are perfect ^_^



I got two new tattoos on Tuesday. I'm so excited to see how these colours settle in with no black.



And a little hand poked gameboy with some Tetris blocks (that's in an awkward place and will never look straight lol). I love hand poke tattoos, they're so calm even though it's weird to feel every tiny stab. I also love Tetris, I still play on my gameboy that I've a since I was a kid.

A lot of pressure is put on appearance and we are always told that there is something wrong with how we look, whether it's a choice or just how we were born, and I think it's crap and you can look however you like and if you're a good person you'll look great because being decent is all that really matters.
It's a topic I feel strongly about but aren't really articulate enough to explain so I just paint it on things ^_^



New key rings! Positive charms to hang from your keys or your bag or whatever. Two of these aren't new but I added beads to them so they're like new.

Sick Day

I took some time off over the weekend because I had a cold and I tend to have colds forever and Will reckons it's because I don't rest so this time I rested. I'm still stuffy but I feel pretty good so maybe it helped.



I was reading somewhere that a little bit of strong sun can actually help with eczema (not enough to start burning though obviously, that would be awful for eczema!) so I've been trying to go out in the garden every day, flap my arms and legs about, soak up some vitamin d. It feels super weird to go in the sun without sun cream even just for 5 or 10 mins but I'm sick of the eczema so I'll try anything.




I've had this on my to read list for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages but apparently so has everyone else in Norwich because it's never in the library and then one day I just saw it, sitting on the shelf and it was really good sick day reading. It's so horrible but in such a creepy not typical way. Junji Ito is a genius, I spend the whole time screaming "oh no" and laughing. It's such a good comic.

Four Pictures

I'm really getting back into taking photos, not just when something is happening but day to day, for the sake of taking a photo. I never intentionally stopped taking so many or even fully realised until after the fact that I had stopped taking so many but I'm feeling that urge again and I'm really enjoying it. I've always liked taking photos, I'm not particularly "good" at it but that isn't the point for me so it's fine. Anyway, here are four photos from the first half of this week ^_^



It is almost impossible to get a clear photo of the rats, they move a lot and live in quite a dark room/tend to come out at night so I'm going to just embrace the blurryness. Even out of focus they're still beautiful (≡^∇^≡)



We were in Tiger the other day and Will bought some car shaped cardboard snack boxes in the hopes that we could get the rats to take an interest in them (we're still working on it) and they came with this tissue paper so the next few orders I get will be wrapped in it ^_^



I love sitting in the garden so much and recently I've seen a frog and a mouse out there as well as the birds that are mostly going to next door gardens for the feeders but sit on our fence. We like to let it be a bit wild because we're lazy but also because wildlife needs it to be. I love watching the blackbirds kick leaves about looking for bugs but it's starting to toe the line into unusable so it's time for a bit of a tidy up.

Studio Mess ~ Stall Prep

Tomorrow I have a table at a Norfolk Brawds roller derby game at the UEA and have spent the week crossing things off my to do list. The list is all crossed off now *proud face* so here are some photos I took during the week.
I've been watching a lot of old Rainbowholic videos lately, Kaila has been making me feel really motivated ^_^




The ready pile/my studio floor. Not too bad but needs more!



New key rings. Getting the heart shape to fit right was tricky (ᗒᗩᗕ) I'm so glad I thought to add the dangly beads. I think it really adds something, like without them something was missing. Everything needs more dangly things though right?







A much more satisfying pile! When I agreed to have a stall for this I was a little worried because I didn't have enough stuff to fill a table but I really wanted to use it as a chance to get going again after a tough winter and luckily it worked! I was worried the day would come around and I'd still just be sat on the floor in a sad daze but I worked really hard and have made a lot of things I'm really proud of including the header cards/packaging for things as well as the actual items.




All packed and ready for tomorrow. My goal for this all along has been to set up a table I'm proud of, I'm not expecting to make any money from it seeing as people are there for the skating not to buy stuff and even though I have no idea how I'm going to lay out my table I feel confident it's going to look like a good table of stuff (＝⌒▽⌒＝)
My eczema is really bad today and Big Hero 6 is on tv in a bit and it's eurovision tonight so I'm going to relax for the rest of the day in an attempt to not have a swollen face tomorrow on top of already trying really hard to not let my social anxiety make me come across as too much of a creep!

12th Anniversary

We had our 12th anniversary at the start of the month so took a day off and went to Yarmouth for the Sealife Centre. I love aquariums, they're a perfect mixture of interesting and relaxing. After the aquarium we went through the arcades before heading home. Here are a lot of photos and a video of aquarium clips ^_^





It wasn't this one but we got to touch a starfish! It was so cool, they felt kind of hollow but also chunky and solid.




The penguin enclosure was really cool, I loved being able to see them above and below water at the same time like that.








The dwarf crocodiles were so pretty and barely moved. We stopped to draw them. At places like this I always get a bit overwhelmed by how lucky we are to be able to see these animals at all let alone so closely.






I knew the aquarium had an octopus but I didn't think we'd get to see it seeing as they hide so well and when we first got to the tank they were no where to be seen but I found it tucked up in a corner and almost as soon as we noticed it it did some laps of the tank and stretched about and really showed off before going back up into the corner. We got super lucky ^_^





Will got me this adorable octopus key ring from the gift shop which went straight on my bag and we had chips by the sea before heading off to the arcades.








We got a bag of candy floss on the way back to the train station and also some juice to balance it all out.
It was such a nice day and we got so lucky with the weather. It felt really good to go do something and it left me feeling all relaxed and inspired and ready to be better at life lol.
