Day 358 - Listening to the She and Him Christmas album and baking.
Day 359 - Christmas dinner / Christmas faces.
Day 360 - Boxing Day was all about Lego.
Day 361 - Our living room is so jam packed at the minute candles are a bit risky and I haven't lit many lately so our advent candles are still going strong.
Day 362 - Will's brain made this up. When you push it the mouth opens and closes and there's a guy in there.
Day 363 - Christmas tulips that Will brought home for me on Christmas Eve ^_^
Day 364 - I always worry after Christmas I won't sell anything all year till next Christmas but then I got a custom cat order so all is fine.
Day 365 - The last day of the year is sunny and cold which is perfect last day of the year weather. It's still only the afternoon but I didn't want this project to drag over to tomorrow (next year!). The rest of the year will be spent pottering about and getting excited for New Years/Christmas number two with my parents.

I'm trying really hard to not show the same thing every day but I do the same thing every day so it just means these are getting sparse. I will try harder to find things to look at. I'm still enjoying it though. All good practise.
Days 9 - 12 were pretty uneventful and my hair was consistently bad apparently but I learned a new editing thingy which is kind of the point of doing this so all is good ^_^
Day 334 - These were the candles I thought were probably too short to not cover Will's birthday cake all in wax by the time I'd lit them all and carried it about.
Day 335 - Desktop.
Day 336 - Autumn! Does anyone want to come clean my sensor, there's some mediocre clone tool going on here that I can't be bothered with.
Day 337 - I'm not sure if this fella is still alive or not but it's so cute.
Day 338 - My cuckoo clock came back, just in time to be added to our Christmas decorations when they go up ^_^
Day 339 - Cute box on my desk. There is nothing useful in that box but I need an excuse to keep it on my desk so every now and then I put something in there that "can't possibly be thrown away".
Yep, you read the title correctly, vlogmas. "But Becky you don't vlog at all, why are you doing vlogmas?!"
Well...
I've always recorded my life, whether through writing diaries, taking too many photos, keeping various bits of ephemera, drawing diaries and obviously blogging it all too so I guess it makes sense that I'm also intrigued by the idea of filming things.
I've come at it a little backwards I know. Vlogmas (a daily vlog in the run up to Christmas, 1st to 24th December) I guess is to vloggers as inktober is to illustrators, a little challenge to push you in something you already spend time doing. I am not a vlogger but vlogmas took my fancy and a few reasons made me settle on having a go.
I have problems with anxiety, especially of the social variety and a general lack of confidence. I thought talking to a camera every day for almost a month might help. I point that camera at me and it's pretty awkward. I don't know why. It's just a camera, that I have control of and can delete anything that goes on there and don't have to show anybody.
I originally thought I'd do it just for me and not share any of it but then I figured, sharing it embarrasses me and I don't think it should so why not try and overcome that too?
So I'm not sharing this because I think I've done a good job. I'm sharing it because I really don't want to. Get it?
Also, I think it will help with trying not to care what strangers think of me. I mean, I don't really care what strangers think of me but I get really self conscious doing things in public, I don't like to draw attention to myself and stopping to film something definitely causes me some panic so in the same way as taking photos helps me a bit with this I think filming out and about will help me gain a bit of confidence out in public.
The overall point I think is: I'd find it really difficult and I don't want to find it difficult so it's probably something I should try and conquer.
Also I've been thinking about making videos of some kind for a while and am hoping to get a new camera soon so I thought having a go at vlogmas now with my rubbish phone camera would give me a head start on the technical side of things. I'll start to get a feel for what I want to shoot and how to edit it together and stuff.
My current plan is to group them into 4 days per video. They're bad quality and are really not going to be interesting enough to warrant an individual video each (my life is not exciting and very repetitive) and also I don't want the pressure of editing and uploading a video every day because I don't know what I'm doing yet. But we'll see what happens.

When 'you've done a nice thing' turns to outrage. Who isn't that fussed by Smarties?! I mean, they're not as exciting now as when they came in a stronger tube with a little plastic lid with a letter on and you could fire the lid at people but still. The orange ones alone are worth being fussed.
For this I thought I'd have a go at digital colouring. It's pretty basic, I think I need more patience, but I enjoyed doing it. I can already see myself looking back at this in a few months and being appalled by it because I'll be better at it but that's how it goes. Making things, thinking they're good, making more things, getting better, being embarrassed by all work you've ever done previously. You know, the usual.
